Towards 2011 Project Terms of Reference
Preamble
The 2011 Project will recommend to the Vice-Chancellor and the Academic Board a comprehensive set of arrangements for the University's graduate programs in preparation for 2011, when the next phase of the Melbourne Model will take effect.
Working with faculties, graduate schools, University Services and external parties, the Towards 2011 Project will consider a range of issues associated with graduate programs arising from the full implementation of the Melbourne Model. The Towards 2011 Project will provide advice on strategies for optimising graduate recruitment and for attracting graduates from more diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
The Project will make recommendations taking into consideration the anticipated shift from 2011 towards a higher proportion of graduate students, a more diverse student body, and a lower proportion of full fee-paying students in the new professional graduate programs. The need for any additional resources and the impact of these changes on student support services and course delivery mechanisms are expected to inform the recommendations.
