Equity Innovation Grant
Published 25 Aug 2011
Equity Innovation Grant applications are now being sought for 2011.
Utilising resources from the Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP), the Provost has allocated $600,000 to encourage initiatives in 2011 that focus on attracting students from low socioeconomic status backgrounds to higher education and enhancing mechanisms that support their participation once enrolled at the University.
It is intended that HEPPP related activity will support the government's 2020 ambition to have 20 percent of domestic undergraduate university enrolments comprise people from low socioeconomic status (SES) backgrounds.
The Equity Innovations Grant Selection Committee will comprise the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Participation and Engagement), Strategic Advisor Equity Policy and an Academic Board Officer.
